Australia was on the minds of many stars at the 2020 Golden Globes.
“Fleabag” star Phoebe Waller-Bridge vowed backstage to auction off her Ralph & Russo couture suit, with proceeds going towards efforts to quell the deadly wildfires on the continent, per a writer from The Hollywood Reporter.
While Russell Crowe skipped the ceremony completely to be in his native homeland — and gave a speech via Jennifer Aniston about the terrible fires — others, like Cate Blanchett, took time during their speeches to amplify the message of need.
Waller-Bridge’s outfit is composed of black Chantilly lace and features a silk duchess tuxedo lapel and a geometric black and gold ribbon appliqué.
According to THR, the star skipped a stylist for the Globes, during which she won Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series, Musical or Comedy.
A representative from the brand has not responded to Page Six Style’s request for the retail price. However, Waller-Bridge’s look is sure to sell for far more than what it’s worth, considering the cause.
