Baby Archie’s outfit upstaged his parents’ fashion choices for the family’s 2019 Christmas card.
On the card — which features a black-and-white photo of Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and little Archie — the 7-month-old wears a festive polar bear sweater while crawling in the foreground of the shot. Meghan and Harry are posed behind their son, with Meghan wearing a plain oversized sweater with the sleeves rolled up and Harry donning a simple white button-down shirt.
Archie’s gray Boden sweater ($105) — which is 100% cashmere — features a sweet polar bear design across the front with three buttons, woven with red thread, along the shoulder area for easier dressing.
Archie’s big cousin Princess Charlotte has worn pieces from the British brand before, and so has his aunt Kate Middleton.
Although Archie is front and center on the Sussexes’ Christmas card, he and his parents were noticeably absent from the array of photos on display during Queen Elizabeth II’s Christmas Day speech this year, as seen in a preview of the pre-recorded message, amid persistent rumors that Meghan and Harry are feuding with his brother, Prince William, and William’s wife, Kate. Disgraced Prince Andrew, the son of the Queen, was also missing from the picture display.
Meghan, Harry and Archie is set to spend “private family time” in Canada over the holidays, while the rest of the family is in the UK. “The decision to base themselves in Canada reflects the importance of this Commonwealth country to them both,” confirmed a palace spokeswoman, noting that Meghan lived there for seven years and Harry has visited multiple times.
